When I Ask

HOW ARE YOU DOING?

When I ask how you are doing, that really isn’t what I mean.

What I am really trying to say is I know your heart is broken. I know your life has been turned upside down. I know there are moments when you can’t even breathe.

What I am really trying to say is that my heart is broken for you. I want to take away your pain. I want to rescue you from the loneliness. The sadness. The fear.

What I am really trying to say is that I love you more than words can express. We are a team. We will figure it out. It will be different. It will not be the same as it was. Hold on.

What I am really trying to say is our hearts are connected. I see you. I am listening. I am here.

What I am really trying to say is talk with me. Cry with me. Remember with me. Laugh with me. Heal with me.

This is really what I am trying to say.

  1. I loved your “how are you doing ” blog. So often in life it’s difficult to speak deeper than the weather. So many people don’t have time to crawl down into the hole with you, or We’re afraid of the others rejection. Keep posting and blogging my friend!
